Jackson lives in Raleigh, North Carolina. She is a "later
bloomer" as an artist, but a passionate one. When the "empty
nest" occurred, she began to look at new things to explore.
She and her husband had collected art for many years and painting
seemed to be a new and exciting thing to pursue.
with lessons in Raleigh, Nina has also studied in California,
Asheville, NC and Florence, Italy. Much of what Nina does is now
a combination of these various teachers and her own experimental
style. Oil is her preferred medium with a focus on contrast of
light and dark. She also is drawn to the unusal view or composition
of a subject. Her bold use of color makes her painting not for
the faint of heart!
